Literary Death Match: 12/16

I will be reading next Thursday evening at the Bowery Poetry Club as part of Opium Magazine’s Literary Death Match. See the info below!

Ho! Ho! Ho! It’s the last LDM of 2010! Deciding who’s naughty or nice (truthfully, LDM often leans toward naughty) are three wise men (we wanted at least one wise woman, but they’re so in demand): editor/writer/playwright Donald Breckenridge, writer/performance artist Mike Albo, and the Onion’s Jason Roeder

Our judges will preside over a stocking full of fantastic scribes – our own Dasher and Dancer, Prancer and Vixen, if you will: journalist/essayist Robert Moor, poet Michael Leong (e.s.p., Cutting Time With A Knife), spookmaster Clay McCleod Chapman (rest area, miss corpus), and humorista Elissa Bassist (Rumpus Women, Volume I).

. . . And to all [who come and make merry], a good night!

Hosted by Michael Barringer and Ann Heatherington

Where: Bowery Poetry Club, 308 Bowery between Bleecker and Houston
When: Doors open at 7 pm, show starts at 8 pm, afterparty at Von.
Cost: $7 in advance, $10 at the door, $5 for students with a valid ID

  1. Man, I’m bummed I’m not hosting this — if you plan to read “Catcalls…” let me know. I want to have someone get video of that!
